Get Stripe User Account

Audience: Low-code Engineers

Skill Prerequisites: Actions, Tokens

Finds the ID of a Stripe account connected to your platform, using the account's email. It saves the ID, for example acct_1AbC..., in a token so later actions can send payments to that account.

Sellers connect their accounts with Stripe Add Seller.

note

This action is part of the Stripe add-on (DnnSharp.Stripe). The add-on is installed separately and needs the STRIPE feature in your license. If it isn't licensed, the action fails with a "not licensed" error. If you don't see the Stripe actions, the add-on isn't installed.

Typical Use Cases

Don't use it to

Action NameDescription
Stripe Add SellerConnects a seller's Stripe account to your platform.
Stripe CheckoutTakes a payment and can transfer it to a connected account.

Input Parameter Reference

ParameterDescriptionSupports TokensDefaultRequired
API Secret KeyYour platform's Stripe secret key. If it's empty, the action does nothing.Yesempty stringYes
User emailThe email of the connected account, for example [SellerEmail]. It must match the email on the Stripe account exactly, including upper and lower case.Yesempty stringYes
Account Number Token NameThe name of the token that receives the account ID, for example SellerAccountId. If it's empty, the ID isn't saved.Noempty stringNo

Output Parameters Reference

OutputDescription
[<Account Number Token Name>]The ID of the matching connected account. It's an empty string if no account matches.

Considerations

  • Only the first 10 accounts are searched. The action reads one page of connected accounts from Stripe, which holds up to 10 accounts. If your platform has more, the account may not be found.
  • Check for an empty result. Add a condition on later actions, for example "[SellerAccountId]" != "". See Common Parameters.
  • Errors stop execution. An invalid key or a Stripe error raises an error. Use the On Error list of Execute Actions to handle it.
